Scrappy little bag, a snapshot crochet pattern, part 1

Working in the round

I started by chaining 5 then slip-stitching the chain into a circle.

I chained 2 and proceeded to double chain into the center of the circle. I don’t really count stitches, but it looks like 13. In the next round/row, I placed two double crochet in each of the previous row’s stitches. After that, each row had a count of 3, meaning 2 double in a stitch followed by one double in a stitch.
