Witches Did What?

I am deeply concerned and thankful that my exposure to this event and mindset has been limited.

Here is the video I found that is not an opinion piece nor instructions on how to participate:

That aside, the most disturbing point is what I found in the comments:

I am speechless (and not just because of aphasia).  This simple statement in a public place can be the beginning of a dangerous life for my children and loved ones in this new America.  Whether or not you believe in magic or witchcraft, calling out to kill human beings is not acceptable. And, yes, I reported this as hate speech.

AK and I have discussed this binding at length; I am full of fear and anger because of actions within the greater Pagan community and the hate and ignorance directed back at us by people who don’t want to empathize nor understand.  This is just one more rift in American society. Minorities have been pitted against one another for decades, even more so in recent history… Do we have to paint targets on ourselves to boot?

Please take the time to listen to a concerned Witch who shares some of my opinions, if not my fears:

No more the burning times. No more cowering in the closet. Know. Will. Dare. Keep silent. Let go. Magic is not meant to be a spectacle, leave that up to illusionists for entertainment.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
